Henna
We use all natural Jamilla henna leaf powder from India. Fine sifting allows for smooth lines. Added ingredients to make the paste include lemon juice and essential oil. The acidity of the lemon juice helps to activate the natural ink in the henna plant leaves. Essential oils that are known terpenes such as eucalyptus and lavender help carry the dye deeper down into the layers of the skin. We never use pre-mixed henna paste or cones.

Aftercare Instructions
How long your henna lasts depends on many factors- 1) Where you get it (hands and feet are the darkest), 2) How you take care of it (water, soap, lotions, baby oil, and sunscreen fade the design faster), and 3) How your skin naturally exfoliates or falls off (this we can’t change!).
How long the stain lasts will range anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. Before getting your tattoo, make sure the area is clean and dry without any barriers between the henna and skin such as lotion or oil. Once the henna paste is applied, keep the henna paste on as long as possible! Avoid picking or flaking it off for at least an hour or two. To prevent drying, cracking, and falling off keep the paste moist by spraying a mixture of lemon juice and sugar on it. I keep this on hand at all times so feel free to get sprayed or dabbed as many times as you can. I may provide additional lemon solution for future application to help hold the paste on the skin. Once the paste is rubbed off, there's no need to reapply.
Once you are ready to remove the paste, brush it off outside with a DRY hand. DO NOT USE WATER! The design will appear light orange when you first take off the paste. The next day it will be a darker reddish brown. Avoid soap and water on the design the first 24-48 hours as the dye is still releasing into the skin. Apply olive oil or another PLANT-BASED oil such as almond, grapeseed, coconut, etc (not baby oil). Oil the design before showering or bathing to make the skin waterproof and avoid scrubbing the area.
